Sean Hanson is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Be Unshakable and has faithfully led the organization for more than a decade. Under his leadership, Be Unshakable has expanded into two distinct divisions—Unshakable Men and Unshakable Legacy—each dedicated to serving the Lord by equipping leaders and strengthening ministries. Hanson earned his undergraduate degree in business from Pepperdine University and completed his Master of Business Administration at Pepperdine’s Graziadio School of Business and Management in 2016, graduating with honors.
Early in his professional career, Hanson served as Director of Business Development for Covered Six, a private military and security company, before founding Garrison Defense, a weapons security firm. While these roles offered valuable business and leadership experience, his passion remained walking alongside college men in their faith journeys. During his junior year at Pepperdine, Hanson founded what would become Unshakable Men—a small group gathering around a fire to pray and openly discuss life’s trials, pain, and faith. Under his leadership, Unshakable Men has grown into a national ministry, with resources and experiences utilized by more than 40 colleges, the United States Army, and 3,000+ men across the country.
Through more than ten years of nonprofit leadership, Hanson recognized that while ministries often begin with a God-given vision, many struggle to grow and even maintain impact without strong organizational foundations. In response, he launched Unshakable Legacy, a division of Be Unshakable designed to provide curated professional advising services to nonprofit ministry leaders and connect them with a trusted network of experienced expert advisors. Hanson is dedicated to leveraging every personal and professional experience God has entrusted to him to help ministries flourish with faith, clarity, and lasting impact.
